![]() ![]() I always find it hard to enjoy a book if I don't love the characters and this is where this book fell down for me. They just very much seemed to be stereotypical characters who didn't leave their box. I could not see any character development throughout this book and instead they stayed the same daft characters that we started with. I hated every main character in this book (and there were a lot) and they all felt so one-note and annoying. fell flat due to the awful awful characters. What could have been a really interesting look at humanity, and how they cope in the face of abject horror and little hope. I absolutely adored the Scythe series and Unwind, but this one felt like a completely different author and didn't seem to have the same heart or grit that the other books had. ![]() Ohh I did not think I'd be saying this about a Neal Shusterman book but I did not like this book. ![]()
